Bill: Establish a Vote By Phone App for the Legislative Branch
A BILL TO ESTABLISH A VOTE BY PHONE APP FOR THE LEGISLATIVE BRANCH SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE This bill shall be called the "Universal Vote by Phone App Act". SECTION 2. PURPOSE The purpose of this bill is to establish a vote by phone app as a third section of the legislative branch, which will facilitate voting by citizens directly in a secure and efficient manner. SECTION 3. DEFINITIONS For the purposes of this bill, "vote by phone app" shall refer to a secure electronic application that allows registered citizens to place their votes electronically on legislative matters. SECTION 4. ESTABLISHMENT OF A VOTE BY PHONE APP (1) The Clerk of the House of Representatives and the Secretary of the Senate shall jointly develop and implement a secure vote by phone app that enables citizens to vote electronically on legislative matters.
