Peace Over Profits Act


Section 1: Purpose

The purpose of this bill is to prevent companies that manufacture war armaments from having stock or being tradable in order to stop the unethical and harmful promotion of warfare.


Section 2: Definitions

(a) War Armaments: The term “war armaments” includes any item, material, or weapon that is specifically designed, developed, or intended for use in war for harmful purposes, including but not limited to weapons, ammunition, bombs, and missiles.

(b) Manufacturer: The term “manufacturer” refers to any entity or person who produces, creates, develops, or builds war armaments.


Section 3: Prohibition on Stock Ownership

(a) No company or person that produces, creates, develops, or builds war armaments shall be allowed to own any stock or shares in any company or entity that produces, creates, develops, or builds war armaments.

(b) Any company or person found to be in violation of this section shall be subject to fines and/or imprisonment as determined by the appropriate authority.


Section 4: Prohibition on Trading

(a) No company or person that produces, creates, develops, or builds war armaments shall be allowed to be traded or avail themselves for purchase by any investor or company.

(b) Any company or person found to be in violation of this section shall be subject to fines and/or imprisonment as determined by the appropriate authority.


Section 5: Seizure and Forfeiture of Assets

(a) Any stock or shares owned by companies or persons that produce, create, develop, or build war armaments shall be seized and forfeited to the government.

(b) Any company or person found to be in violation of this bill shall be subject to the seizure and forfeiture of assets that are derived from the production, creation, development, or building of war armaments.


Section 6: Severability

If any provision of this bill is held to be invalid, unconstitutional, or unenforceable by a court of law, such invalidity, unconstitutionality, or unenforceability shall not affect the remaining provisions of this bill.


Section 7: Effective Date

This bill shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by the appropriate authority.
