Act to Promote Free Food in Public Parks [Section 1: Purpose and Scope] This bill aims to encourage healthy eating and sustainability by introducing orange trees and blackberry bushes in public parks across the state. These plants will produce free food for all users of the park, while promoting a sense of community and environmental awareness. [Section 2: Implementation] (1) The Department of Parks and Recreation shall undertake the necessary steps to introduce orange trees and blackberry bushes in public parks, in consultation with relevant stakeholders and experts. Priority shall be given to parks that are easily accessible to urban and low-income communities, and where there is sufficient land and sunlight. (2) The Department shall also provide necessary guidance, training, and support to the park users on how to take care of the plants, including watering, pruning, and pest control. BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "Lake County Performing Arts Center Act." SECTION 2. FINDINGS AND PURPOSE. The Legislature finds that Lake County is in need of a new performing arts center to enhance cultural opportunities and economic growth. The Legislature intends to provide funding and authorization to construct a state-of-the-art facility to promote the arts and benefit the citizens of Lake County. SECTION 3. DEFINITIONS. For purposes of this act, the following terms have the following meanings: (1) "Performing Arts Center" means a facility designed for live performances, including musical productions, plays, dance performances, and other forms of artistic expression. An Act to Provide Free Home Internet to Low-Income Households SECTION 1. Title This act shall be known as the “Universal Home Internet Access Act.” SECTION 2. Purpose The purpose of this act is to provide free home internet access to low-income families in order to bridge the digital divide and ensure that all households have access to the information, resources, and opportunities available on the internet. SECTION 3. Definitions For the purposes of this act, the following definitions shall apply: (a) “Low-Income Household” means a household with an annual income of $65,000 or less. (b) “Internet Service Provider” or “ISP” means any business or organization that provides internet access to households. SECTION 4. Free Home Internet Access for Low-Income Households (a) Any household earning $65,000 a year or less shall be eligible for free home internet access provided by the ISP of their choice.
