Bill: Work From Home Prioritization Act
Section 1: Short Title This bill shall be known as the "Work from Home Prioritization Act." Section 2: Findings The Congress finds that: 1. Commuting to and from work is a significant source of traffic congestion, air pollution and GHG emissions, and is detrimental to citizens' well-being and health. 2. Remote work has become a viable option for many workers in the digital age, and can bring various benefits to employees, families, and communities, such as reducing stress, increasing productivity, and improving work-life balance. 3. The private sector and the federal government should promote work-from-home opportunities where appropriate, while ensuring that job quality, flexibility, and access to technology are guaranteed. Section 3: Purpose The purpose of this bill is to prioritize work from home as a means to reduce traffic congestion, improve employees' well-being and work-life balance, and mitigate climate change.
