Bill Title: Committee Member Protection Act Purpose: To protect the independence and integrity of committees and prevent state governors from removing committee members without just cause. (b) "Just cause" means that the committee member has violated ethical standards, demonstrated incompetence, or engaged in behavior that is detrimental to the committee's mission or the public interest.
